Sheep & Sheep Products Potential in EU & GCC Countries

The report will provide information about following products: milk and milk products, sheep meat and meat products, live sheep and sheep wool. The research contains information about sales channels, technical regulations and standards in local market (Georgia), EU and GCC countries. The goal of the report is to identify potential of Georgian products (live sheep, sheep milk and milk products, sheep meat and sheep wool) in EU and GCC countries.

Each of the above-mentioned target products were looked individually, where possible. Where the data retrieved did not provide such opportunity, the products were grouped based on the categories provided in the respective sources (i.e. in some statistics milk and milk products are merged and not divided by sheep, cow etc.). For trade analysis purposes the target products were grouped by internationally recognized six, four or two-digit HS (Harmonized System) codes. The study was conducted via reach primary and secondary source data. All existing relevant researches about Georgian sheep products were analyzed and interviews were conducted with relevant stakeholders within the sector, such as sheep product producers, government institutions, associations and other BSOs.
