The project – “Joint Monitoring for Environmental Protection in BSB countries” – which Sabuko has been carrying out since 2020 – has come to an end.
The overall project objective is to contribute to increasing the level of availability of cross-border compatible environmental monitoring data and information in nature parks and protected areas in BSB.The implementation of the project started in June 2020 and will end at the end of August, 2022.
Target areas of the project cover: Kolkheti National Park in Georgia, Dilijan National Park, Armenia, Nature Park Strandja, Bulgaria; “Bioreserve” the Danube Delta, Romania.
A number of important research activities were carried out within the framework of the project. Delegations from partner countries ( expert group and management teams) will attend the Cross Border meeting on 8th, 9th and 10th of August in Georgia, Tbilisi and Poti and present the results of the project to the interested public and, with the involvement of experts in the field, discuss the means of solving the identified problems. On August 10, the project partners will visit Kolkheti National Park and will learn about the research activities carried out by Sabuko in the park.
